umm, sad
EDIT - I am currently going thru my friends' list and removing most of the people whom I don't know and/or don't want reading my journal. There are a few of you that I don't know but that I've had on my friends list since the beginning, mostly people who either comment in my LJ now and again, or those that I like to read - since it's only fair if I'm reading yours that you can read mine, afterall. So.. please don't be insulted if you're not kept on my list... If you're still on my list by this afternoon, you've been kept. To the rest of you, it's been swell, and I wish you all the best.
If you come to my LJ in the future and would like to read it, you'll have to comment on this post, and I will decide if I'd like to let you. No offence, but as it says below - I want to choose whom I would like to rant to. That's my right.

I think... that even though I like having unlimited photos and stuff like that... that I like having the same journal as everyone else so I can still get comments and read comments. BUT... I'm gonna follow the example of a few other friends, and make this friends-only.
If you want to be able to read my entries... a)have an LJ... b)comment and tell me who you are and friend me... and c)I will decide if I want to add you. No offence, but it's my head, and if I want to rant... I want to choose who I rant to. :)

Love and hugs to all my friends who missed me (or at least I hope you did!).
I didn't really write in my other journal anyway but I've been REALLY stressed lately... so I need to start again, and I plan to. SO... feel free to pester me if I don't write at least once a week. lol.

Oh yes, I am a tried and true scatterbrain.

yegods, mad
Once a month... I would really prefer to be a man... for about 4 days. That would be super. I think this IUD I got is making me more crampy too. I've found a few reasons not to like it. Not sure I'm keeping it. Might have to consider another option. And Aunt Flo is early this month to boot. Lovely.
yegods, mad
Ugh. Yeah, what she said. Idiotic Politicians. She pretty much said everything I would've said. I commented... but I'm too tired to write my own rant right now, and since I 100% concur... here... go read this http://lil-tree-frog.livejournal.com/60876.html ... Hope you don't mind me linking you, [info]lil_tree_frog. If ya do, just say so and I'll write my own rant. LOL.

Seriously. I want to know why anyone wasted their votes on these idiots. Y'all should be smacked upside the head. No offense. LOL

Well that... and the fact that I saw a deer about 5 feet from my car on Thursday night after work. They warn us constantly in emails that there's a deer in the parking lot at random times of the day... and usually when I leave I see nothing... that night I went out and looked around... saw nothing but just had this feeling he(or she) was still around. So I was driving slowly and when I got to the exit driveway, there was a deer right in the middle that I had to slow right down for. He/she looked right at me for a minute... and then very slowly and deliberately took about 5 steps (still watching me) across and off of the roadway onto a patch of grass. Where he/she then stood still staring at me while I verrrry slowly drove past. It's a very cool feeling to look right into the eyes of a wild and free creature. I felt bad for being in my big metal pollution-maker, in his territory. (The marshlands are right behind my work).

So first off another link to share from [info]xephyr_42; http://community.livejournal.com/improper_fic/6434.html

Secondly... annoyed at baby bonus for not arriving early this month like it did last month (where the 17th and the 20th were also a Friday and a Monday, and it came on the Friday). Was hoping to do some laundry at the 'mat this morning before work. Now I gotta settle for the washer/spinner.

LOL...

I'm tired... probably from staying up and watching Gattaca last night. Awesome movie.
I want to try and write in this more often... even if I have to do it from work on my weekdays...

Yesterday was fairly uneventful... drove Bill to Nathan's house so they could play Star Wars minis... *eyeroll*
And then came home for a few hours. Put Harry Potter: CoS in, to pass the time... Bri and Nika BOTH got ornery so they both wound up having a nap and I got to just chill at my computer while Bill was gone. That doesn't happen often anymore... as much as I'm not as big on sitting at my comp anymore, since I do it all day at work... it was nice to be able to just veg without the kids screaming and without needing to give Bill attention - lol - not that I don't like spending time with them but you know what I mean.

Anyway, I have to get going at the moment...

5 movies:

1. Legend

2. Harry Potter (I'm counting all of them as one lol)

3. Lord of the Rings (ditto)

4. Pirates of the Caribbean (Johnny Depp is hot. Orlando Bloom is hot. *shrugs* Even Keira Knightly is pretty smokin', I guess.)

5. Ghost World

5 Soundtracks: ...This one's hard. I'm not much of a soundtrack person.

1. Moulin Rouge

2. Lion King (LOL!)

3. Titanic (Yes I did like the Celine one, BUT that's not why... the rest of the music for the film was brilliant)

4.

5.

I can't even think of 2 more. That's how much I listen to soundtracks.

Five TV shows you faithfully watched when you were a kid like 6 and under:

1. The Little Prince

2. She-Ra: Princess of Power

3. Harriet's Magic Hats

4. Thundercats

5. Today's Special (lol!)

LOL... and on that note, try this quiz on 80's Kids TV Shows: http://www.funtrivia.com/quizdetails.cfm?quiz=7013
I got 60% ... would've gotten 70% if I could just figure out the name that was on the tip of my tongue for the Sesame St question LOL.

Five things that never fail to cheer you up:

1. Hugs from my kiddies, or from Bill

2. Reading

3. A nice hot shower

4. The smell of spring

5. A summer rainfall

Hmm... getting better.

  • Mar. 13th, 2006 at 2:52 AM
omg
Well first off... Bill made my day (and made me want to swoon!) last night. I came home from work, tired, hungry, etc... 1:30am... and was instructed as soon as I walked in the door, to put down the coffees I bought, get undressed, and go into the bathroom. LOL... Of course, I was immediately skeptical of his intentions... but he insisted, so I go into the bathroom and find about a dozen candles, incense burning, and a lovely scented, steamy hot bubble bath waiting for me. Oh. My. Gods. I almost cried. Really. lol. So he says "So, do you want to eat first, or...?" ... Meanwhile I was already halfway into the tub, shaking my head no. LOL! So I washed my hair, and then soaked for a good half hour to an hour, gazing at candles and daydreaming.
I get out of the tub, wrapped up in my giant uber-bath-towel... and am ushered onto the sofa, tv table propped up in front of me with a big plate of AWESOME pasta with chicken and garlic bread, and juice. (Along with an apology for nothing fancier to drink...hehe)... *gasp* SOOOO yeah. I was floored... and I have decided that I have the best hubby in the world. *nods* I will now stop joking about where my bouquet of origami flowers is! (Yes, we eat supper at 1:30am, because I sleep thru normal breakfast-time, and have breakfast at lunchtime, lunch at dinnertime, and dinner at... well... sleep time. LOL)

Anyway... on a completely different topic; [info]goleafsgo and [info]sirdracosfyre, this entry made me think of you guys so I'm sharing: http://lady-amhranai.livejournal.com/478494.html

Also... does anyone know any artists in Toronto, and/or art gallery owners in Toronto area? I have a friend who'd love to speak to them, so let me know and I'll point you to his LJ.

Oh... and haha... at some point, I graduated from convert-ee, to convert-or -... and that amuses me greatly. LOL. I am such a loser, that I actually was chuckling to myself about it whilst in the elevator at work, on my way home tonight - lol, it was the last thing non-work-related that I was talking to anyone about before the end of my shift, heh... too funny. That's a completely... silly... and non-serious way of putting it, by the way. If you have the slightest clue what the hell I'm talking about, just chuckle with me - if you're completely clueless as to what I mean... donnnnn't worry about it.

Innnnnteresting...

Religion Definition
are you mono or polytheistic?Poly
do you subscribe to a major religion?Nope.
how do you feel about Jesus?I think he was probably a well liked guy, and someone wrote a book about it.
what holy book do you feel is most accurate (Bible, Koran, etc)I don't believe in holy books, for the most part.
do you believe in reincarnation?Yes.
do you believe in the traditional heaven and hell? No.
do you believe in ANY heaven and/or hell?Sortof. In the Karmic sense, you create your own heaven or hell on this Earth, in this life or in the next, by your own actions and choices.
do you think the god(s) are vengeful or nice? That's hard to answer. I think they teach us life lessons... sometimes they are hard... and if we disrespect them, we can regret it.
do you believe in angels? Not in the biblical sense, but yes.
do you believe in miracles?Hmm... not really... not in that sense.
do you believe in predestination?I believe in fate... but I also believe you can change your fate.
do you believe in original sin?No.
do you believe in freedom of will?Yes.
do you believe in souls?Yes.
what do you think will happen to you when you die?I think my soul will be reborn into new beings until I've learnt all of life's lessons. After that... I don't know. But there are a lot of lessons to be learnt, I suppose... maybe neverending?...
do you think there will be an armageddon?Haha... no... not til some-billion years from now when the sun and the Earth collide...
why do you think we exist? That, I don't have an answer for.
do you believe in life on other planets?Hell yes. As if a universe so big would only have one planet that sustains intelligent beings!
do you believe in evolution?Yes, of course... it's been proven. Cuz you know, all these scientists are making it all up. We just magically appeared one day with leaves on our crotches... ROFLMAO riiiiiight.
do you think religion and science will always oppose the other? My religion doesn't oppose science... so no. lol.
what would you say to God if you met him/her/them today?I'd point out that saying "Thou shalt not worship any other Gods before me." was a stupid thing to say if He was going to try and have us believe there is only one God. Hmmmmm. So why was that rule necessary, again?... Riiight.
anything else we should know? Not really... *shrug*

So I was inspired by my college/university-going friends... and was looking into courses again to see if there's anything I might like to do afterall... and was putting some serious thought into attempting to become a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) again. [info]sirdracosfyre was even going to help me with the grade 12 sciences I knew I would have to pick up. Sooooo I go and look up the course and email them for more information, and I take a look at the OSAP site to see if I can even get money again if I haven't paid them back, etc.

Well... turns out that #1; OSAP isn't going to give me money again (which really probably is a good thing anyway... like I need more debt), because I'm in "default" with my payments on my previous student loan, AND I never finished the 3 courses I got OSAP funding for last time. And #2; there's so many science/biology courses I can't even PRONOUNCE in this course, that I don't think I'd last to begin with... PLUS, it's 5 days a week for 88 weeks!!! I think... I would die... and... I'm just simply not that scholarly. Even if I could get the funding, I don't see myself having much success.

Anyone got any bright ideas for me?
